Project Report: Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, ON

Upper picture: The extensive green roofs are located on 8 different roof locations. Each location has an unique landscape design.

To complete the overall landscape design various colour schemes and planting mixtures are used.

Project Report: Warehouse Ensinger Mineral Water, Vaihingen, Germany

Upper picture: This large scale green roof is installed on the ware house of a mineral water supply facility.

A view on the parapet and skylights. The vegetation is applied in the form of sedum cuttings.

Solar panels complete the overall green roof concept.

 


Project Report: Recycling facility, Madrid, Spain

Upper picture: This recycling facility in Madrid is equiped with a large scale extensive green roof. The red colour shows the unplanted growing medium which included recycled brick or clay tiles.

The roof is desigend with such a gradient that the vegetation is visible from the surrounding area.

The planting is applied in the from of sedum plugs. The pictures show the growth of the vegetation after one growing season.

 



Project Report: Chemnitz shopping centre, Rohrsdorf, Germany

Upper picture: Shopping centres often have large roof areas. Green Roofs can be used to replace the large footprint of the building and parking areas.

The sedum planting is applied in the form of pregrown vegetation mats.




Project Report: Rolls Roys head office, Peterborough, Great Brittain

Upper picture: The Rolls Roys head office building is located in a decommissioned gravel pit. To blend this large scale object into the surrounding landscape, an extensive green roof is installed on top of the building.

The extensive green roof at the same level as the surrounding landscape.

Sedums and local grasses are used to blend the building into the landscape.
