
Project Report: Highline Park, New York City, USA
Upper picture: The Highline was originally built as an elevated rail line to move meat products around in the city core. It has been reconstructed as a pedestrain walkway / green roof.

Staircases and elevators – similar to those of interurban railway stations – were planned at regular intervals. |

210 plant species, including numerous shrubs and trees (5-9 m) are planted in the roof garden.
