Project Report: Highline Park, New York City, USA

Upper picture: The Highline was originally built as an elevated rail line to move meat products around in the city core. It has been reconstructed as a pedestrain walkway / green roof.

Staircases and elevators – similar to those of interurban railway stations – were planned at regular intervals.

210 plant species, including numerous shrubs and trees (5-9 m) are planted in the roof garden.

Project Report: Jubilee Park, Canary Warf, London, Great Britain

Upper picture: This park was designed on top of the roof of the metro station. The large skylights mark the entrances to the station.

The park includes large mature trees, water features and is accesible for the public.
