Project Report: Shalom Retirement Residence, Grimsby, ON

Upper picture: In order to create an visually attractive roof for the residents a large area of the roof of the retirement residence is equiped with a low maintenance extensive green roof.

1 The extensive green roof contains a wide variety of flowering sedums and single uprights such as Alium, Sedum "Atumn Joy" and Festuca making this roof pleasant to look at.

The use of various colour planting mixures makes the green roof even more interesting.



Project Report: Douglas College, Vancouver, BC

Upper picture: The Douglas College building is equiped with various extensive green roofs which are planted with a combination of pre-grown vegetation mats and indivual grasses applied as plug plants.

The sedum mats in flower........

To create more interest and height, modern and colourfull planters are intergrated into the green roof design.
