GREEN ROOFS & SOLAR TECHNIQUES
Green Roofs and Solar Energy Photovoltaic systems offer a winning combination: The cooling caused by evaporation at the plant level ensures a favourably lower ambient air temperature for the photovoltaic cells, which in turn improves their performance. All rooftops with a gradient under 15° are suitable for this purpose.The ZinCo solar panel mounting system enables solar energy and green roofs to be combined. Solar Basis boards, including the Solar Base frames, can be placed on either drainage elements covered with filter sheet, or directly on waterproofing which is covered by a high-quality protection layer. The boards are then aligned and can subsequently be covered with system substrate, in accordance with the necessary amount of ballast required.
Due to the set height of the Solar Base frames there is a certain distance between the solar panels and the substrate layer, which ensures that the plants receive enough sunlight and rainwater, and that an appropriate level of care and maintenance is possible.
